Welcome ! At Mechanical Kits Ltd. we endeavour to ensure the best quality products are available for students who are learning, "hands-on", about fluid power.

Hands-On at the 2011 Challenge
  • The STEM Connections Project is a generic learning module to complement the Fluid Power Challenge and the "design and make" Classroom kits. The products - Investigating Fluid Power and Investigating Levers and Fluidics - explore the physics of syringe fluidics using specially designed rigs with appropriate cross referencing to Science, Technology & Engineering and Mathematics Standards.

  • In order to reduce the amount of paper product we use, instructions for the kits are now available as downloadable files on our website. The files are PowerPoint presentations. If, however, you specifically require printed paper instructions please email: support@mechanical-kits.com

  • The 1000th student finished the Fluid Power Challenge in the Spring of 2011 and we anticipate 1000 more in the course of the next two years!

Fluid Power Kits in the Classroom

Mechanical Kits Ltd. has developed kits for teachers and students to use in the classroom. These enable students to engage in hands-on learning by building a device that moves pneumatically, and by doing so, understand important mechanical and fluid power concepts.
A classroom kit comes pre-cut and drilled - all that is required to construct it are a pair of scissors and a small amount of wood glue. Downloadable instructions are available - follow the link below.
